I keep watching this movie like I don't really see what people are thinking but I'm still a man what is the flick fans welcome back to my channel today is a shorter review of a dog's way home.

I am ready to talk about this I have had so many videos already come out today one more to come if Bill Street could talk but right now we are talking.

In the film by Charles Martin Smith a dog travels 400 miles in search of its owner today I'm going to give you my review and then my score let's start talking about a dog's way home so here's what I'm going to say with this review.

if you are a dog lover if you love dogs and there are things that you are going to like about this movie especially.

when it comes to the heartfelt ending and there are heartfelt moments I'll give it to the dog even the duck is the best actor in this movie it is incredible what this thing does there is a part a moment where this could be considered a mild spoiler not really because the trailers gave the entire movie away there is a moment.

where the dog has a little limp and is traveling from one place to the other and I'm like okay did they train the dog to do that if they did first the trainer's awesome and then the dog is even more awesome it is so incredible.

what they did with the actual animals with this movie now the CGI animals that's a different story there were so many things in a dog's way home that took me out of the film and I mentioned the CGI I know the budgets low I get that but.

if you have a budget that is that low doesn't write all of these different creatures into the script and give one a very prominent storyline an entire CGI creature that's in like one-fourth of the entire movie.

why do that if you know it's going to look this bad at times it was fine but it never got over fine it was always either fine or really really bad especially when the camera was close-up and the movements also caught me off guard they were not realistic they were really jerky and like something out of an old PlayStation game.

I'm sitting here thinking I can't be the only one that notices this but I got using Oz and my theater the entire time you know the oh and the and I get it there are two kinds of people that are going to go watch dogs way home one someone that knows exactly what they're getting you're going knowing it's probably not going to be the best-made movie but you're going because.

you're a dog lover and two you're going to review the movie and you're going to have to critique it and be the enemy the bad guy and I hate to be that guy but you know I have to be honest here guys and I knew it was going to be cheesy I just didn't know how much that first scene when the dog is sitting there and the voiceover really got to me at times.

I knew it was coming because once again I saw the trailer and the trick you know let's talk about that real quick the trailer for this film the marketing reveals the entire story the entire plotline the final scene many shots of that scene are in the trailer so here.

if you've seen the trailer you've seen the entire movie congratulations you just saved eight to ten dollars maybe more maybe like 11 or 12 that first scene with that voiceover of the mother brother sister oh no I'm like this is what.

we're in for and you have an actual dog they even make the dog CGI in that first scene oh it took me out of the movie so fast and I said in my head is this what we're in for I certainly hope not there's just everything I expected to see in this film happen.

if that's what you're going for then you are going to absolutely love it but I didn't love it for that I kind of got upset because I wanted this film to switch it up and maybe do something a bit differently than the other dog films but it didn't we get.

the montages of the guy loving on their dog we get the montages of the people chasing the dogs with this music that is just so corny the characters do really dumb things like sneak the dog into places the acting is really not all that good some moments could have been really cool such as a wolf on dog fight that sounds cool right well they make.

it was so uninspired and uninteresting and the filmmaking was just horrible maybe I had my expectations too high maybe I wanted more from a film that just wasn't going to deliver that it did exactly what it told you.

it was going to do but for me, that just wasn't enough now were there moments that I thought were really cute absolutely the ending was heartfelt some of the characters you could tell their affection for each other and then for the dog.

I love those relationships I love those moments but then you get the majority of the story with these CGI creatures the odd choices for dialogue when it came to the voice-over and just a really horribly paced film I just didn't get it maybe it's just not a movie.

for me even though I love dogs and I thought this dog was really cute it should have worked and you have these odd covers of songs that you know I love you to have a cover of free ride you have a cover of lean on me and it's like that's such a weird choice for this situation just didn't fit I liked the ending I think it was trying to spread a good message.

it was heartfelt I even like the song choice it's just the rest of the movie could not live up to that the dog was absolutely the best part if you want to see a cute dog go see this movie because this is a really cute dog yeah I'm sorry guys maybe I'm being too tough on this but I noticed way too many things that frustrated me.

I am going to give a dog way home a forty percent I'm not saying don't go see it because once again if you are a dog lover you will go see every dog movie that is in theaters and you get the cute dog out of this one.

I'm just saying do not expect a story that's going to sweep you off of your feet don't even expect a story that's really all that's smart but hey at least you'll get something to thank you guys so much for watching this video if feel Street could talk coming up later today and then sex-education the brand new Netflix series I will have that review out to you guys Saturday morning.
