Final Destination 4 review final destination was released in the year 2000 directed by James wong featuring Devin Sauer and all Lada Alex saves his high school friends from death when he gets a premonition that the plane will crash unfortunately they are soon followed by death and begin to die one by one in horrifying ways.
now guys before we give you my review of final destination my next review in my series of reviews for spooktober every single week I'm uploading a couple of reviews for the more as it is the month of Halloween and spooktober so therefore I'm uploading a bunch of like horror psychological thriller-esque type movies.
I know a lot of people don't call final destination a horror movie but the nature of it and also, a lot of what people have said and from my viewing, I do class this as a type of horror it's more or less a disaster horror and I want to see what you guys have to say about it down the comment section below do you love this movie or do you hate?

the first two for now because those are the two reviews for the final destination movies coming up this weekend and I've got to say this movie is while it's fascinating and enjoyable it is a complete and utter mess this is not a good movie but.
it's an enjoyably bad movie in regards to the fact that it's a fascinating concept with a fascinating story that isn't particularly conveyed in the best way first of all as per usual we're going to start off with our positives Ali lata and Devin Sauer in this movie.
who play Alex and clear by the way Ali Latta I didn't even know she was in this movie and it's very ironic that she plays the character's name clear not to be mistaken for her character in the shitty resident evil movies um Claire.
she was easily the best thing about those movies and if she was given a better script she could have been a good claire Redfield not talking about resin evil though but I like their performances in this movie sometimes feeling a little bit wooden sometimes feeling a little bit dumb.

down Devin Sauer and Ali Lauda easily give the best and only good performances of this movie except for a particular cameo which I will talk about in a minute but I like their performances I also like their characters.
I like where it goes in regards to people mistreating Alex and everything with him being able to see the future in regards to a premonition knowing it was going to happen and people start to question why I like that aspect of this movie because you wouldn't necessarily just believe him nino mentioned one of the detective's The name is detective Shrek even though.
Shrek didn't come out for another two years so that's something I also love the practicality behind this movie in regards to production and set design a large majority of the over-elaborate sequences of death yes there is CG used obviously but there is a lot of practicality used especially when the teacher dies inside of the house looking at a few behind the scenes stuff from my knowledge.
that this movie actually set the house on fire a lot of that stuff with the explosions were actually practical uh what is it send-off explosives that weren't damaging to the electors or anything and they were done by professionals with stunts obviously but I love the practicality and how it was you know utilized I love that aspect of this movie, it's very well done.
I also think that although they get obnoxiously over the top and elaborate and ridiculous the deaths and sequences of just the Rube Goldberg type contraptions that death creates to kill our characters are a ton of fun and what this movie does is it keeps you guessing on how these characters are going to die it keeps you guessing on how you know they're going to bite the dust because there are multiple circumstances in waste as they.

could in these situations and sequences we know they're going to die obviously but at the same time I like the way how it keeps you guessing as to what way they're going to die especially with how death works and it's at this point of my positives.
I started uh struggling to find other positives about the movie yes there are some for instance it's a fascinating concept I like the law I like the narrative that they attempted to convey it's something quite fascinating on how it works how death works.
how if you mess up his plan how he will follow you and kill you in more grisly gruesome ways than what you were initially going to I love that aspect I also think that the pacing in this movie is considerably well-paced granted that might be because this movie runs at a total run time of 87 minutes without credits.
it's a ridiculously short movie for its concept but at the same time that's to its advantage I feel and my last sort of like positive that's kind of really small and these last The couple is just really small that I've just thrown in there because.
I really struggled to find anything else to say about this maybe that was really good but at the same, time I really love tony todd is one of my favorite horror actors of all-time ever since I saw him as a candy man in the movie candyman.
I love him in those be my victim I love him in this movie he has one scene and he's very menacing very very methodical and just when he's like I'll see you soon I'm just like wow okay this yeah it chills up my spine that was easily the creepiest segment of this movie granted the rest of this movie kind of sucks in every way .possible.
the supporting characters and performances are terrible the guy who plays Billy is awful he's kind of just acts as this windy little whiny kid riding on a bike the entire movie and I just don't know a lot of the characters in this movie just kind of have a one-dimensional character trait one of them is the blonde girl dating the bully and everything.
who doesn't want him to bully Alex that's it one of them is a bully who wants to bully Alex and still feels the need to pick on him even though you know he saved his life that's all he has and therefore they're not really given much to work within regards to dialogue in the script.
because the script is definitely nothing much to run more for either like the script and the dialogue passing back and forth between our characters and our actors is terrible like it's really bad at times and although.
I like the concept the law and the narrative that it tries to convey its big problem is the fact that it's very one-dimensional dimensional and not well conveyed at all it has little development as to how death works besides that one scene with tony tob where.

it's more or less riddles and methodical but you understand what he's trying to get across other then that it's a bunch of google searches and everything and I'm just like wait what and it just doesn't make sense granted.
I like how Alex figures out the pattern with like how the explosion works and figures out that death is killing them in the order of you know how they were supposed to die and they can still skip death multiple times.
I think that is terrible how it is all conveyed around that that is a really awesome aspect but everything else surrounding it feels so one-dimensional forced and ill-conveyed the editing as well a lot of the times in regards to the death sequences although fun and everything.
it's very apparent that the editing is very choppy and sporadic especially with a sequence where one of the characters the bully and the rest of the survivors are in a car speeding down he's like I'm gonna kill out at my own terms I don't care.
if it's my turn to die and I'm just like this could be a cool and very intense sequence because you don't know what's going to happen but it's sort of overshadowed by some terrible editing and although I love the death sequences and everything and how elaborate the rube Goldberg um you know moments are in regards to how they're going to die.

it gets really ridiculous way too over the top and elaborate by the end it was elaborate at first but way too elaborate by the end there was a certain thing that made this movie terrifying from the beginning and that was the simplicity of saying one of the characters accidentally slipping in the shower and having something wrap around his neck but by the time you get.

overall though this isn't the worst movie in the world like it's fun it's enjoyable you can sit down you can watch it it's entertaining it's got cool lore behind it but overall it's choppily edited with some really bad performances throughout besides devon Sauer and Ali Lada and everything else just feels ill-conveyed like.
it's one-dimensional the narrative doesn't know where it wants to go or how to further develop it on a narrative standpoint everything feels so forced and one-dimensional from the characters to the narrative.
it's choppily and sporadically edited it gets way too ridiculous and elaborate by the end and it's just a little bit too far-fetched by the game granted this is a movie that you can watch it with your friends.
